Halifax Dance has several companies-in-residence: Senior Company-in Residence, Gwen Noah Dance, the modern companies Mocean Dance and Verve Mwendo and also the Young Company which tours Nova Scotian schools and annually presents The Nutcracker.

Produced by Paul Schroder (The Stone Roses, The Verve) in Copenhagen, the band returned to London to mix the record with engineer Cenzo Townshend (U2, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Florence and the Machine, Snow Patrol) at Olympic Studios.

Andreas Varady signed a record deal with Verve Records in October 2013 and recorded his first album for the label in January 2014.

The first album released by the Chaino-Allan team was "Jungle Mating Rhythms", released by Verve Records in 1958.

Samba Para Dos is an album by Argentine composer, pianist and conductor Lalo Schifrin and American trombonist Bob Brookmeyer recorded in 1963 and released on the Verve label.

To his credit, he never shies away from the savagery that flavors the best black comedies, but the verve needed to make this one a complete success is nonetheless missing."

It was released on February 1, 2005 by Verve Records.

McBride began leading his own groups in 1995 after his debut CD Gettin' To It (Verve Records) was released.

Known to most as Cory in "Trailer Park Boys", he also is the principal choreographer of Halifax based Contemporary Dance Company Verve Mwendo, plays in the rock band Aide-De-Camp and voices the children's series Poko.

On March 20, 2010, at "Wit, Verve, and a Bit o' Nerve", The Colony lost the Campeonatos de Parejas to Ares and Claudio Castagnoli of the BDK, after BDK members Pinkie Sanchez, Lince Dorado and Tursas attacked them before the match and Tursas powerbombed Soldier Ant against a wall, rendering him unconscious for most of the match.

Later, she made three recordings for Enja Records and three for Verve Records.
